In this video, M. R. Hari states that preserving, protecting and expanding our existing snake and sacred groves should become an urgent priority to all. Snake groves are very important because they constitute the last surviving, though dwindling, natural forests of Kerala, and they preserve the state’s biodiversity. If the rare species of trees that they host vanish from the earth, there is no way we can bring them back. Therefore it is imperative that we follow the Miyawaki Method, and plant forests around the existing snake groves.
