In this video, M. R. Hari mentions how he repurposed a used water tank to serve two major purposes. Cutting them into halves, he was able to use one as a fish tank (fitted with an overflow pipe) and the other as a compost pit. The organic manure from the latter serves to fertilize the pieces of land where he has put up Miyawaki-style vegetable forests. This example, he feels, should inspire owners of small strips of land to take up farming with confidence.
