In this episode, M. R. Hari talks about the experiment he conducted in his Puliyarakonam plot. He checked the temperatures inside the house, outside, as well as within a Miyawaki forest in the afternoon. The air inside the forest was decidedly cooler by at least four degrees. This, he feels, should be a compelling enough reason for all of us to avoid concreting our compound, and to think of planting trees instead.
