In this episode, M. R. Hari responds to a persistent query about putting up Miyawaki forests on the terrace. He mentions two options: one, planting saplings in barrels and keeping them together; and two, planting saplings in tubs or damaged water tanks. Though the growth may not be as luxuriant as what we may see in our plots, the plants and trees on terraces will definitely grow well and produce fruits. The basic principles of the Miyawaki Method should however be followed: clumping the plants together, using only organic manure, avoiding use of insecticides and chemical fertilizers, etc.
