In the second part of his video on a Miyawaki Forest on the Terrace, M. R. Hari presents the cheaper and simpler alternative of repurposing used printing-ink buckets and paint barrels, placing them close to one another in whatever shape one wishes, and planting saplings in them. The greatest advantage is that we can have forests of designer shapes and sizes. The disadvantage however is that this model does not permit intertwining of roots – as a regular Miyawaki forest does – and may slightly compromise the stability of such a forest against strong winds.
