In this video, M. R. Hari suggests an alternative to people who have no additional space for a Miyawaki forest as their houses fill up their plots. Repurposing used water tanks will serve the purpose as they are tall and deep enough to hold trees and plants, clumped together in the Miyawaki manner. Mixing more of cow dung powder, coir pith and rice husk into the potting mixture will reduce the issue of weight, and water-filled earthen pots (or empty plastic refill packets with a couple of holes) placed inside the tanks will ensure wetness of the soil.
