In this video, on viewers’ insistence, M. R. Hari shows how much his Miyawaki forest on the rocky top of his Puliyarakonam plot has grown. Closely following the principles that Prof. Miyawaki had adopted to create a forest over 12 acres of barren, rocky land at Kanagawa in Japan, Hari’s team put up a forest on a rock. The thriving plants and trees on it after six months, he believes, present a classical model of a micro-forest that can be replicated in abandoned stone quarries and close to our houses.
