In this video, M. R. Hari introduces Shivan, a stone mason-turned-self-trained apothecary and Nature lover who has converted his tiny, two-and-a-half cents of triangular plot wedged between two tarred roads into an oasis of trees and shrubs, many of which are becoming rare to find. Despite poor vision, Shivan does the best he can to share his green treasures with people who need them for medicinal purposes, and even makes concoctions to give relief to patients, in return for paltry sums of money. Shivans is a classical example of the fact that lack of space is no limitation if we wish to grow plants and preserve biodiversity.
