In this video, M. R. Hari shows us the growth of a two-year-old Miyawaki fruit forest in Sri Rajasekharan Nair’s plot, close to the house. He observes that although the mulch could be thicker, the pruning has helped many fruit-bearing trees rise as single trunks with a rich canopy of leaves on top. This has permitted sunlight to fall on the ground and helped other plants grow well too. Thus, by mastering the basic principles of the Miyawaki Model of Afforestation, it is possible for anyone to create Miyawaki forests near their houses.
