In this video, M. R. Hari makes an evaluation of a Miyawaki forest at Kanakakkunnu, sixteen months after it was planted. He highlights three positive factors he noticed: one, the sheer growth of the plants; two, the presence of small birds and creatures; and three, the appearance of fruits. One negative feature he notices is the planting of banana plants whose big leaves cut off sunlight to a considerable degree, and affected the growth of the neighbouring saplings.
