In the fourth segment of his interview given to Ms Pali Chandra, Mr M. R. Hari itemizes the various benefits of Miyawaki forests: providing greenery, purifying the air, replenishing ground water, lowering atmospheric temperature, reducing power usage, bringing down noise and dust pollution, serving as buffers in industrial zones by delaying possible explosion and in urban areas by lessening the impact of natural calamities, and so on. The other advantage is that the biodiversity in Miyawaki forests will allow Nature to take over and thus maintain a balance of prey and predator. Most importantly, the Miyawaki Model will help us nurture and create a mature forest within our own lifetime.
